_I have started with this job the first of November. So it has been merely a few weeks ago and I already love it. I am working together with about fifty co-workers who are comfortable, friendly, casual and genuine. I hate it when there are people around me who are simply kissing butts. But they did not so you won't here me complain!
Sarah and I went to the beach the other day. We'd a nice day without work because off all the stress lately. I finally got a job which was a relief, but we also moved to a larger house. When we were down the beach we enjoyed strolling there with our dog and had a relaxed a short break. We could clear our minds.
So what am I doing at my new job? It is a much larger company that I am currently employed by than most of other other businesses. I have the choice to work on a variety of problems that I find very difficult and fascinating. That is what I absolutely love about this job.
When I accepted this job I was happy that I could in the end provide salary for us. I knew there was a difference between the amount it says when you discuss the job (I believe it was called pretax salary?) and how much tax you need to pay at long last (I used a paycheck calculator to achieve that here). I was glad that it wasn't unfortunate for me. I live in Florida and didn't have to pay any state tax in my income!
I am glad I could in the end bring some food on the table by having this job. I was considering what salary to expect. It took me a spell to understand what I could ask and even if I was making like 40 grant a year how much would be after tax? I used an Internet-based paycheck calculator to figure that out. I need to pay almost 28% tax! I didn't expect that. So that was a dashed hopes a bit. Yahoo Finance helped me a lot there.
My girlfriend is still contented with her job. She has been doing community work at two different schools and at at an institution for disabled kids. She likes it over there but it can be quite hard. What is crazy is that she is working there for a long time already and I just had a new job, yet I earn more money than she did. How fair can life be? I was smiling, but she was not at all enjoying it.
Next week we'll continue ending the house. There are a small number of things that need to be carried out in order to completely finish. I know what you are thinking "a house is never finished". This might be the case at our place as well, but we currently have the feeling that if we do the last few changes we are really getting somewhere near perfection. The garden is one of our main concerns. It is a junkyard now. kind of piles with dirt, timber and metal. There is hardly and grass and the shed that we have will no longer survive a light sea breeze. Thankfully we've a very handy sweetheart's father who can make a shed for us with a few wooden panel, some nails and too much free time. I think we should ask a small donation from him. Because we're keeping him busy in his spare time haha!
Sorry for this long post! I just had to get all these things of my chest. There is a lot of motion during our life lately and I just had to write something about it to get some peace of mind. I am glad that most changes have a very positive impact on our way of life and that we are actually living the life we always wanted. With just a few minor setbacks but we'll get over that. I'll make an update again in a couple of weeks or months when I need to acquired a whole book of my chest again
